So basically my bank and pc house in my domain were both deconstructed while I was working, and nothing else was damaged, no gates, no army, nothing. The only real logical explanation is someone (with renamer) must have renamed themselves to my name and deconstructed my buildings. This is abuse at its finest and something needs to be done. If admins can't control themselves and not abuse stuff, lets go back to no admins. Or atleast give it to a worthy person. Now i'm just suggesting we take a vote on a new admin base considering I never see most of them on, and the one who plays the most is clearly abusing stuff. So at the very least can we remove Relleth as admin since he has used his powers to take control of a domain before and this is a similar incident.

It's called common sense.

Save files are based on character names iirc. This is why if you delete your character and make a new one with the same name, you can use all the engraved gear pre-delete as well as people having your name from before deletion.

Or a lot of us who have been in an Admin/Renamer position have at some point been asked for a Rename that was completely and totally logical and someone else just so happened to already have taken that name.

It's actually fairly common.

Another interesting tidbit: You can't rename your own character that you are currently logged into. As best as I can understand without looking at the code, the Rename proc will first kick a person then after the person has been logged out, it applies the update to the name. If you are the one putting forth the command, then you disconnect entirely before your command gets finished putting in, because no mob is there telling the game to rename the character.

And before you cry, well how would you know, sounds like you've been trying to abuse stuff, well, yeah. I wanted to have the name Dominic Sumner but that was too long to fit at character creation so I created and attempted to rename myself so it would fit.

To clarify:

1) No one could have temporarily stolen your name while you were offline.

2) Even if they could have, it is not a job that a single person can perform, and statistically speaking, the more people party to a crime, the more likely incriminating evidence is left behind.

3) There is no incriminating evidence of abuse because it sounds like someone's being a Ninja. You know. Like Ninja are meant to be.

Lol I once waited in a town as Citizen for six hours for a chance to steal from it.

Multiple times in the past have I waited in front of a door for hours just so I could Pick Lock the damn thing without being seen because of NPCs.

Gates are hardly an obstacle to any sort of skilled Ninja who is determined to perform grand theft PC House.
