and locke, it's closer to therapy. it's a lot like a college, there's even classes I will take at the college level and all, but the main thing is helping me overcome problems and insecurities (physical ones like my eyesight that's too bad to allow me to drive--one of the major counsellors down there told me they had a girl with the same eye probem as me who they were able to get some kind of special glasses for that allowed her to drive--and mental ones like my.. well, you've seen a lot of that yourself, but also stuff you may not know about such as a severe social phobia though that has gotten EXTREMELY better over the past year with good old psychiatric treatment). Basically, here's the deal, and I don't believe I'm actually telling you guys since I know norks and nork-likes will troll this post after this, but for the guys like Locke who actually give a shit, here goes:

--Going to get my GED (I quit highshcool after 11th grade due to severe social phobia and suicidal tendencies etc)

--Likely taking at least some remedial college-level classes so that I won't have to deal with them when I actually go to a 'real' college

--Hopefully having eyesight help in any way possible so that I'm able to drive, and they personally teach you to drive and issue licenses there

--With a healthy eating regimen and plenty of physical exercise, weightlifting room, giant swimming pool, game rooms for physical stuff like billiards and table tennis and such instead of just video games all day when I'm finished with class/work/etc equals me being in FANTASTIC shape for the first time in my life

--Living with a roomate, having school and work-like environments, and being social when I'm doing just about anything equals me getting over what little social issues I have left at this point

--Psychologists, counsellors and a psychiatrist on-hand all the time so I can get over any and all the OTHER mental issues I have left at this point (i.e. once I am back you WILL NEVER see me 'fox out' anymore, that's an absolute guarantee)

--Real job training, actual jobs (they just pay minimum wage since everything down there's a free service anyway, but hell, that'll be a LOT of money saved up by the time I'm back), actual work experience, something to put on an actual resume, and a GUARANTEED JOB even in today's economy when I get back home, since this whole entire deal's put together by Job Corps

--All of the above combining to give me self-confidence and a well-being of mind the likes of which I haven't had since I was a child, and probably way beyond that, too; and since I'll have a real job, finally have proof of completing highschool and be prepared for college, have earned my OWN money, will finally LOOK physically nice, and a plethora of other things, I'll have a pride in myself that'll prevent me from dropping down into the depressive area and the 'i don't do anything my life sux wah wah let me take it out on people online by being angry and/or generally unlikable' mood some of you know all too well. Also, having an actual day job for once and eventually college as well (if not that too as soon as I get back) will give me things to do other than sit on the internet all day every day and allow my mind to rot and my mood to decay into depression.
