So, we finnally managed to kill DDs.....

There were way more deaths here, but they werent to DD's because we spawned a LOT of shit includig champion Condemned soul. (might've spelled it wrong)

I still think lowering their overall level/drops/etc would have been a way better decision than just making them ridiculous to kill. What would you rather have, god mobs like in 3.5 with more balanced rewards, or nearly impossible mobs with regular rewards?

Yeah, that gold that barely allowed us to repair is WAY TOO GOOD A DROP.

And I agree with Locke. It was my suggestion to begin with to get "rid" of God-Mobs and just have a bunch of "strong" enemies.

Like in 3.5 DDs were hard but we could kill them. With a good party we could go down there all the time.

If they just gave less reward and were like that they'd be fine.

It's too late, Nabutso. The DD drops have infested the game with their sheer obscene amounts, despite how ridiculous they are to kill. Drastic action is needed.

It only dropped 81k. And that ain't shit, compared to how much effort it was to actually kill it, and how many times we almost wiped. The only reason we didn't get slaughtered is because we had 3 White Wizards, which I think all of us had dark gear. Without a small army, it would be impossible. My repairs were pretty bad and I'm wearing heavy armor, I can't imagine how bad people with other armor types had it.

Not only that we had like 4 other people tanking it.. 81k with 8 people is like 10k each. The tanks most likely had a lot more than 10k repairs.

AND, we lured that one dragon up a floor. If not for that another would have spawned. One more and we'd been dead.

ANYWAYS, if anything does happen to Dragons, they should regain their weaknesses that they are supposed to have .... like back when light didnt do 0-20 damage on DDs or when fire didnt do 0-10 damage on frost dragons.... god... from what i know people had to use Freaking POISON TICS to kill frost dragons. Thats how rediculous their defensive stats were.

Definitely need to go back to when light 3 at high profs annihilated dark dragons. Like Cea said, just drop their reward to compensate. Why make the entire bottom floor of the ruins impossible to train in at night? Why even have that area if a party can't even go down there and have fun fighting swarms of DDs, Evilmen, CSes, and Mindflayers all at once anymore?

Also considering what I'm hearing from their numbers, each member of that party got maybe 10k. 10k for what they probably lost in damaged armor and used ethers and pots is NOTHING.

If anything the drop should be better for how difficult they are, unless someone finds a way to kill them with like, a party of four.

the value of monster drops was increased as a result of the shops being nerfed. thats what we suggested to gaku in vent.

the FrD drops last hosting and the hosting before were always about 19-25k.

thats when exo found things like a double bladed bane axe, wizard staves, etc.

items with values 3-4x that will be ridiculous.

I'm not sure how the treasure system works, but I think it "upgrades" the drop until the "Budget" is fully expended. So, if the price gets jacked up to 81, it negates the upgrade and turns it into another item or just gold.

That's my theory anyway. Gratz on beating one of those sumbitches though, I can't even damage those fuckers.
