Alright, so experience based leveling is no longer in effect for Terulia, although you still earn experience from killing enemy monsters and players. From the looks of it, the new leveling system is based around proficiencies, am I correct?

Also, will that mean we'll still have the personal level cap or is that being done away with?

You will still have a personal level cap to prevent spoonfeeding, etc.

if the target is walled and...

1. ... if they are a hostile target (non party member and hostile), it can only reflect to another hostile target. this means that it can never ever ever reflect back to you, unless... (this has proven to be true over and over again don't even...)

2. ... they are a friendly target (party member). it can only reflect to another friendly target (doesn't have to be a party member) this means it can reflect back to you or anyone whos an ally. (remember when zkiller joined my party, xmagic'd me, and it hit yizzy, who wasnt a party member, right there, not a hostile target to zkiller? that was awesome he died to guard lmao)


also, spells can only be reflected to something that's still within the original cast range. so BASICALLY..........

open pvp with no monsters, 1v1, and they're not in a party (this is usually the case)..... wall is worthless. it won't do anything. at all. if theres monster around, though, it might reflect to them. might. profing wall increases the chance to reflect a spell from a player. a prof 1 wall can (and has) reflected prof 50+ spells before, from players. a higher prof wall will increase the chance to reflect them.
..................

on the other hand.... it reflects all monster spells. prof 1 wall will reflect a frost dragon's ice3. trust me on this.

You forgot to mention the part that makes it broken to begin with, Danas wall was capped so heres the example...

If your wall is capped, all spells reflect back at the hostile party, but only if their profs arent higher than the wall prof, this even applies to monsters.

not true gg

wall prof just affects chance to reflect player spells (since monster spells is always 100%) and the amount possible. you can get 6 reflects off a prof 1 wall, but you'll be able to get 6 more often with a higher prof wall.


ima let u finish but dana had one of the greatest walls of all time.

solus ur wrong basically.

(and my wall was only capped til like lv 30 when everyone stopped training becuase they quit the game becuase i killed them all)

Aside from all the other information you posted, i'm fairly certain that if your wall is way better than the prof of the opponents spell (PC), then the spell can reflect (Back at the hostile), its not 100% but its a realy high chance to reflect regardless.

You just dont want people to know that because you like abusing things and dont like it when everyone knows how something works. I Figured out how wall works long before you did good sir, i even made a post in the old forums about how broken it was and the changes that could be made to fix it, but those changes were never even considered.

Not to double pot but this WAS going to be an edit, it just got too big srry.

Explanation.

Most people havent realy noticed this but the reason i say wall CAN reflect at so and so is that Walled spells that arent turf casted likely reflect at the NEAREST TARGET, its just as predictable as MONSTERS AI CASTING, which considers the closest thing in view.

Its kind of funny how much people think they know about a spell because they've used it a few times and have made a few basic assumptions, When some of us have actually THOROUGHLY TESTED THE SPELL.

(This might explain Nabutso saying that in 1V1 pvp Wall does not work, but that is very much incorrect, Spells can actually target things out of view, if the target is still in range, for instance my light 3' i've hit people who didnt even see me a screen away when i tested them using wall on someone, going to the edge of the screeen, then casting Light 3 on them. Again, spells can have further than just screen range, its just the matter of limitations brought on by not being able to CLICK out of the view of your screen :D)

So pretty much even in 1V1 pvp, if a bystander is close enough to the walled person, or closer to the walled person than the caster of the spell is, then they are targeded (Visible by the caster or not). if not then the walled person is casted apon, but this only applys to single target spells anyways, Teir 2s+ can not harm a walled person at all.

And that, my good sirs, is why wall is uber broken spell, Hell i even would wall AFK people who were near towns, then spam light 3 on that person to kill guards way back then, since they didnt aggro me because i wasent close enough to town. But guards cant die this way anymore so W/e... but then again.. this makes me want to get wall all over....

Dispite all of my points the last time i suggested it getting fixed, it all go turned down so i dont think it will get fixed, also the way it works now is the only way i think it could work without being broken compared to how it used to work....

solus is wrong and im way too tired to make a huge post because honestly i dont care.

gaku knows how it works, and if he goes into the code and tries to change the spell being reflected back to the caster becuase the enemy's wall prof was higher, he'll go "lmao but that doesnt happen" and laff.

and then he'll blacklist solus from the bug reports for a week.

Try making Wall work like Reflect in Final Fantasy Tactics, where it casts the spell like the person who it was cast on casted it. But it alters it for facing and such.

Example, I cast Fire on someone facing East while I'm facing East, and they're three squares in front of me, the spell will bounce off them, and hit three squares in front of them.

But, if they were facing me, then the spell would bounce back onto me. Meaning Wall would be at its most effective when you were both fighting head-on.

Give that a try, I can see a lot of legit use out of it.
