Did you really draw that? If so daaaaaamn. I should really put use to my photoshop and put in effects like that. But I am too lazy and hate photoshop.

Well actually, I lied. It's my RL friend. She comes over to my house occasionally, and I sort of act as her "manager" because she keeps trying to get lazy/emo about her work.

This is her deviantArt if you want to see some more of it

Ask her how much she'd want to make some Terulia art/banners/title screens/etc/etc/etc...

I called her and told her about it. She says she would be interested in it. She has seen me play FFO before and has seen the title screen so she has an idea of what it includes.

She doesn't use any IM programs though, so if you want to contact her directly, Noting her on deviantArt would be your best bet.

first priority would be a banner for www.terulia.com
title screens are WAY down the priority list but would be cool in the future

Are there any specifics you would like me to relay to her about this?

I'm open to suggestions.
A very quick concept/layout sketch or three would be a good start.
The ad banner could probably be moved as well.

You know what, if you two are going to sit here and talk about another persons art, please take it else where. I dont deserve this in anyway. It took a lot of guts for me to upload anything here again and you guys are seriously making me regret my decision.

Here's something I really for real drew, then.

Your stuff is definitely better than what I can do. The only thing I have going for me is the slightest grasp on colors. Look at my terrible line-art.

I did not mean to hijack your topic. Your artwork is good, and I understand the effort it takes to do something like that.

Yes well I know I will never be able to do what you are your friend can do. I am color blind which makes special effect in photoshop the bane of my existence. It really does take a lot of courage for me to post anything in terulia. Partly due to the fact this community isn't all that nice. I'm just asking to please pm each other..

Also that looks pretty good. What program do you use?

Yeah, I will take it to PM with him now. I apologize about that.

I mostly use Paint Tool SAI but recently I have been trying to do my work in GIMP.

And this community is full of care bears if you look in the right place. But you really shouldn't let people put you down for your work, either way. That's the cool thing about art - no one else will perceive it the way you do, so you see it more completely than anyone else.

And come on, don't say never. Whatsisface music composer was deaf but he's famous. Not enough for me to remember his name, but he is famous. XD

I'm just saying, colour-blind does not mean you can not grasp colours whatsoever. I actually made some goggles once to simulate being colour-blind and learned how to solve my rubik's cube that way.

And, as strange as it sounds, I actually turn on grayscale effects when colouring because it helps me have a better grasp on.. bah, I'm terrible with names, but the intensity of the colour. I try to use colours so that if you were to take away grayscale you could still pick out the drawing.

I hope you are not completely colour-blind, though? I am pretty sure I have already talked to you about this, though.

Its uh a tad different for me. I see intense green. Everything is really drown out by it (sometimes i can pick out yellow but that about it). The plus side is I can pick out green though. Turning off the grey scale I do try once in awhile. But i got the rgb bubble so mapped out that I remember whats what. And I have all my swatches in an order I remember. But still translating it to color is hard. Its like trying to build a house when you have very little knowledge of how to build a house.

Well, it is not completely about rgb, which is what I've recently been trying to teach my friend. Sometimes it is more important to focus on hsv, because it is more pertinent to the needs of the colours.

It's hard to explain, and knowing that you don't see colour correct makes it even worse, since I learned from a tutorial aptly named "how i see colour". :S

But, you know, everyone has their own drawing styles.
