Well, I am going to be a part of this topic, my opinion is as valid as anyone else's, and I feel like expressing it: This community has turned to shit, I stand by that. And really, do you have a moral high ground to stand on? I thought you quit long ago? Oh right, never mind, that "never happened".

I don't know why you have this vendetta against me, but I do find it cute that I'm apparantly "important enough" to show up on the radar of such "old-school" players.

On topic realtalk: Yeah, of course I agree with the three admin team idea, and it's obviously bullshit that Emma has been allowed to stay where she is when she doesn't take any active role in the community anymore, she's pretty much done what I did and said "fuck it".

I agree with the whole 3 admin thing as well but what I don't understand is how they receive any types of abilities in-game.

Clipping and monster dropping wtf? They don't need it at all really. All they need to do is make sure the rules are enforced in the game and there are no exploits being abused.

I support Cea, Sinsie and LP as admins not because they may or may not have helped design and program the game but because they deeply understand how the community of FFO works in-game and on the forums and are regular active members of the community that people can, will and do look up too.

I'm down for noclipping and monster dropping being completely removed because they are not necessary and only open the realm for abuse. To be honest, them having any sort of power other than the power to boot/ban is just going to lead to shit like this.

I don't abuse monster dropping. Its only back in the game so people can have fun, and I only use it when people want me too. If you guys really think that its somehow an issue, I can get Gaku to remove it. I know Garral and Kaji abused it, but I don't. I literally just got it put back in the game so people could have fun with it, and that's how I've used it.

As for "noclipping" which I usually just refer to as "GM mode" since that's basically what it is, that power just existing discourages a lot of abuse, and I've used it to catch people in the act before. If I get a tip, its a lot easier to warp to someone and check what they're doing right away then to run there or ask someone for a screenshot. I've broken up a lot of rules abuse that way, and caught a lot of it in the act. In addition, like I said, just it being there discourages people.

I understand its a powerful ability and you're afraid of that, but I only use it to check on people when I get a tip and occasionally goof off with my friends. I've only used it to dodge pvp once, and that was a mistake. There have been plenty of instances where I could have used it to escape pvp deaths and never did. For example, one time in the water temple my whole party got killed and I didn't. I could have gone invisible and warped outside the game world, but I didn't. I had plenty of time too, as well, and I pretty much knew there was no way I'd get out of there. That's just one example too. I knew there was opportunities I had to log out, even as a regular player, with nobody on my screen, so nobody would have caught me if I did use GM abilities to get out of it.

I can't really think of any other abilities I have that could be considered useless, but if you have concerns about any of the rest of them I will address that as well.

No-clip, serves no good purpose.
I believe the same for summon.

Warp-to can be useful for popping in to check out suspected rule breaking.

You could still potentially escape pvp/pvm using warp-to, but whatev.

Summon has been abused in the past. People being summoned while admin is on a boat and leaving them in the water etc.

No-clip has been used to avoid pvp and pvm along with perma snatching, spawn chest snatching, sitting on houses and other ridiculous bullshit.

No clip is GM conceal, its the same ability, its the way I catch people in the act, because if they see me there they're instantly going to stop. GM conceal makes me invisible and able to fly over anything basically.

I've never summoned anyone unless as a joke or if I really needed to. I put one of my friends in the middle of the water between Argo and Vorgardia once, but they thought it was funny.

I still don't believe that your personal main character should have the power to go into GM mode. What I was thinking was maybe more in the lines of having a seperate character that's used just for admin business, or make it so you cannot use it in the same conditions as logging out. I guess the ideal situation of my suggestion is, you can only use it if you're not around hostile players/monsters and once used, it "logs you out" of your character, and puts you into GM mode. Then when you exit GM mode, it logs you back in at your spawn point. Granted, that is most likely impossible, but it's just a way of explaining what I'm trying to suggest.

That was the first time I've ever seen you blatantly do it; but if there were modifications to the administration and a team was added and such (not saying this will happen for sure but it's just wishful thinking), something would definitely need to be done because with multiple admins chances are at least one of them is going to use it to their own benefit. Also this is pretty much why there are no other admins. I even tried to ignore the small bits but everyone complained, so now you just get me. If you get an administration team you'll just find something not to like about them eventually anyway. I (or Gaku if you get head admin removed) will have to deal with complaining about other admins daily, unlike now where its just when I make a decision.

Locke doesn't abuse his power, he might be the type to dick around if he feels like it, but he wouldn't go out of his way to ruin the game for everyone else unless you really pissed him off. Even if he does make a major screwup and end up summoning Ironpede to raze an entire city to the ground, I'm pretty certain he could correct it at a moments notice.
