fwiw dds in 3.5 only dropped 10-15k when i used to solo them all day as useless and they'd drop pretty high tier shit when they finally did. dd drops now are gonna be extremely overpowered

frost dragons can drop over 250k gold easily. after dragons got buffed for the last time i dont think i ever saw them drop less than 100k gold(when they had gold on them).

dont get me started on spawn chests too.

Speculation on my behalf, but it seems like certain people in the past who have trained at dragons, dark or light, for experience, drops and gold have never been straightforward about what they get there. To be blunt, they've been dishonest. This always happens when someone brings up balancing issues related to what the dragons drop. The retort is always the same. Drops aren't that good or it's not worth it for how much work you have to do to kill them. "They're super hard yu gais"!

i have no reason to lie about what i got. it's not like i can make a ninja and start stealing from them again.

lets see, here's a few of the best things that i ever got...

double bladed bane-axe(dont remember the quality)
magnificent wizard staff of the vampire
black leather thor-armor of the vine(dont remember quality)
magnificent black leather armor of the wanderer
double bladed torrent-axe(dont remember the quality but it was fairly high and we ended up losing it after dying from the swarm. many people were here that can testify to that axe)
masterwork(i think) ancient stone-nunchuck(vigo lost this when his char had to be rolled back, right after he engraved)

there was so much more. i had about 3 mil gold banked at one point which is when i engraved my bane axe for 1.7 mil. i also had a full black leather set, two bladed tonfas, two silver tonfas, a high tier midnight bow, and a TON of other things engraved. total all that up and add in all the times i had to reupgrade things and repair for 30k-50k gold and my character was worth more than nab's real life.

The problem is you fucking people bitching "waa it drops too MUCH" will only tell Gaku that the drops need to be nerfed. If the drops are nerfed and DDs aren't fixed, they'll literally be pointless monsters.

make them as strong as they used to be pre flying nerf. back when i did them on 3.5 it wasn't uncommon to get 3 on me at once. drop the exp to like 20k a piece and make them only as strong as they were in 3.5 and it should be fine.

Also Nab, FrD's did drop over 100k gold if they dropped anything. Exo should know what he's talking about considering he's the reason you can't steal from them anymore, and I'm the reason FW was nerfed (again)from killing them all the time.

I've seen TSH doing dragons, seen dzungs do dragons, and have again done dragons this hosting.

I still feel that god mobs have no place in FFO.

Nerf them all over to the same league as the rest of the monsters in their environment.

They can still be the strongest monsters in the Ruins and Dragon Cave but they don't need to be like bosses.

If they don't give more exp and better drops than the rest of the monsters in their dungeons, there's really not a problem.

A quicker fix would be to just remove them.

As usual, when Dean and I agree it says something.

It was my idea, probably a year ago now, to get RID of "god monsters" and make them normal but HARD monsters.

I have no fucking clue why that didn't get in. Instead they just got more and more broken in all sorts of ways.

And yeah Nab is stupid for "lol they drop only 10k I know because I killed them ALL THE TIME, NOT DESHAWN AND EXO WHO ARE KNOWN FOR IT"

That's pretty much what my suggestion last page was. Drop the EXP they give and their drops and make them weaker. DDs atleast used to be pretty easy to kill back in 3.5 and them flying makes them a bit tougher. It'd be more balanced overall and the lowered EXP wouldn't be an insane amount like it used to be.
