Mobs and Domains

BACK on topic.

I don't think that it's unreasonable for monsters to be able to damage domains. Simply said, and the points and counter points have already been stated. Does anyone have any new information that has not yet been brought to light to add?

We need Gaku's opinion for anything to happen. In the meantime people will either lose interest or this topic will go round and round.

How did I flame? Because I said you can't take a domain...? Really now...

And you're not really including mobs you're just saying the army is OP and you want it nerfed...

I don't really think it's abusive to lure mobs and use tactics in domain warfare, since using brute force isn't the best course of action and shouldn't be the required course of action. I do agree that using dragons is a bit unfair, given the power of the dragons.

I've got a few other domain-related ideas that I'm planning to implement in the near future. I would say let's wait see how they effect's domain strategy before making any other changes.

Hi! I was about to make a topic but saw this already addressed monsters attacking domains, and even specifically dragons. Wanna update with this cute video at the bottom of this post.

Apparently you guys have something in the works, but I wanted to show a real example of what can happen and your opinions on it. Personally for Terulia, if you make some sort of anti-monster defense (or weapon etc) and it would make using dragons fair game, that's fine, just asking if that'll be the case. If not though, I have a suggestion to make.

If it's not too hard to code in, maybe put it so that you can't lure certain monsters past a point and they either a) run all the way back to where they spawned (if they wandered around the border they'd be an easy target for people to lure and kill) or b) disappear completely to avoid bringing a dragon to a staff fight. It was really cool to do but I don't want it to be too unfair to domain owners having to worry about some jerks luring a monster which can reach twenty levels higher than the level cap to attack their days or weeks of hard work.

There will be no further updates to FFO as is, due to a computer error deleting a large chunk of recent code, and Gaku not wanting to redo 4 months of code for a game that is going out the window.

If/when such a system is put in, it will only be in effect for Terulia.

http://www.terulia.com/?f=main&t=390 is there if you have any further questions about this.

Easiest solution would be having any difficult/boss class monsters despawn upon leaving their area of origin.

You shouldn't need monsters in Terulia for domain warfare anyway. Bye bye OP army, you guys are gonna have to do some fighting for yourselves for once (yes I'm talking directly to the wusses on defense).

Not only that, but with the new incursion system, it wont only be TEAM A fighting TEAM B + TEAM B's Army...

It'll be TEAM A's Army + TEAM A Fighting TEAM B + TEAM B's Army
