You weren't on last night when there were two 8+ player parties along with several other small parties on. I know I wasn't. I said "as far as I've seen." Do you know how to read? If the server is going "good." How does that constitute a pwipe? Wouldn't a better argument be "The server is going bad?" Uhhh, again... Know how to read? I said it's been going for a good 7 months. I didn't say the server is going good. I like to look at things in the long run. Why settle for "a while" when you could essentially make it where EVERYONE can participate in PVP to a degree? Also, blowing up FFO because one person's group has succeeded in conquering the domains? That is a good reason because? There will always be periods when no PVP is going on. Uh, that's one of the points behind having a lower world cap. Lowering the gap between newbs and vets so everyone can fight each other without the vets obliterating the newbs. I know you're trying to make Terulia a pure PVP game but FFO isn't Terulia. You guys should just propose making Terulia the next Proelium if that's what you're after. Yes. Everyone getting capped faster and more people getting to the cap faster. Meaning more equally powered people fighting other equally powered people. The experience required to prof could be increased to slow things down, but it'd kinda of be fun to be able to have real wars where most of the community gets to participate. You guys neglect PVE too much. _________________________________________ |

1) Quit using the "pwipes don't fix anything" argument. Ever play Diablo 2? Yeah. 1) This isn't diablo, pwiping FFO without changing anything is pretty meh. 2) Yeah it is pretty stale to me, I don't think anyone can genuinely argue against that. 3) Matter of opinion, but I will say I agree with you. It'll be fun to see groups form factions and fight for a while. But like I said earlier, once one group wins and dominates the game will go dead again. 4) Yeah...what are you doing here if you don't like to train or play the game. 5) Again...yeahhhh, especially since new banian island becomes really stale once the newbies all seem to consist mostly of alts. 6) An even lower level cap would just be really stupid in my eyes. Call me crazy, but I like that putting extra effort into training will give you an edge on people that train every couple of days. _________________________________________ Haze wrote:

Yeah I know it's not Diablo 2 but they were, or Dean was, saying "games that need pwipes to stay fresh have underlying problems" and all that. Diablo 2's ladder has been very much alive for what is it? 8 or 9 years?
Plus this game is supposed to be heavily influenced by Diablo and all.. _________________________________________ |

You know, I stopped playing for a couple of months, and I came back last week to find an active game. It'd be a shame to pwipe just yet when things have gotten good. Cea owning the world seemed to unify everyone by sticking them in Giant's Helm. I think the game just needs some organized PvP to keep capped people occupied.

I never said I don't enjoy playing the game, on the contrary I enjoy FFO very much. But it pisses me off to great lengths when I've spent so much time getting all that gear and all that experience then one day, bam, it's all gone. _________________________________________ |

Pwipe or no, its going to be gone one day anyway. FFO always pwipes for some reason, and even if this time it doesn't, Terulia will come out and FFO will be no more.

I still don't like how FFO is going to be left there like a prom-night dumpster baby (lolreference), considering we're all having so much fun with it and everything. I still think it should be worked on and everything as well. Gaku put so much work into it before, and now he's created Terulia, essentially FFO without the Final Fantasy, and took it one step further. One of the main reasons I like FFO is because of the Final Fantasy history behind it.

FFF was left behind for FFO, and with Terulia the cycle continues.
I doubt Gaku will want to keep it up since he wants more people playing a game he can actually profit from. _________________________________________ "Take this shipment of supplies to Gillian, and try not to murder anyone's parents along the way, alright?"

Yeah I don't think Gaku wants the community divided on two different games, so I'm sure FFO will be staying down once Terulia is out.

FFO is far more refined than FFF ever was. FFO is just plain awesome, and it's really great game it just needs updates and balancing and all that. It's pretty much perfect except it isn't Gaku's ideal game. That being said, it will definitely be sad to see when FFO is gone. I just hope it comes back from time to time.
