I come back after a year or so after not being "able" to play this game that I really enjoy and all I see is people fighting about things not even dealing with things "in-game". It's all about fights about nonsense and bull****.

FFO has no real need for GM's or Mods. If someone is being harassed or is breaking the rules they should post it in the appropriate forum. Game logs will tell the tale of harassment and the rest can be fixed with the systems already in place. We have a cube to prevent newbie killing. (Our Newbies are the future!)

I can understand both sides completely. I just don't see this issue resolving well. We could be talking about cool things/RPing or whatnot, but yet all this community does is fight over things that have happened in the past or "could" happen in the future all because of so called Administrators. As a community we should be able to tell what is right and wrong.......

what happened is that i was scrying locke on my character stella, as soon as Quinto died he went into Gm mode and followed Sinsie, Ethril, Haze until more of his friends showed up. It was quiet obvious he was telling them where they were, cuz they showed up quicky. He was in he party we were out to pvp. After his back showed up, he then ran back into town and got out of GM mode to attack us back. In other words, Locke was abusing his GM powers.

kumog i have the photos but the admin i showed told me i needed the text box of me about to scry locke. I did not do this, so my photo is no good. also it has kaji right next to him, all chill and okay about him being in gm mode.

Kumog's GM Scry comment is actually a good idea.

Admins only need to see people. They don't need to no clip around. This would solve a lot of abuse issues and open up one new one, which isn't as bad as the one's we deal with now.

I suggested something about GM Scry a long time ago, and it was never put into place. I don't know if it will ever be put into place, either.

I actually suggested that to Gaku rather than GM conceal, but he gave us GM conceal because it would be easier to implement. I don't care either way.

Also I was in GM conceal flying around before there was any pvp that I knew of, and I was just checking on things, you know, the reason the power exists and all.

Gaku trusts me, don't drag him into this. Hes really busy, and he put his faith in me, so deal with it. If you don't like it, leave. I highly doubt we'll have trouble finding new people to fill up the community.

This isn't the entire community, its just that (generally) the people posting have the loudest mouth, whine the most, etc. I talked to people who thought having Kaji back was a great idea, but I won't name them unless they want me too. (Cause you know, having an opinion out of game these days is grounds for getting murdered ingame.)

Then there's the ton of players who just play the game and have fun because they don't obsess over every little thing the admins do. Or the ones that have no problem with administration because, well, its not a problem, so they never have to deal with it.

Really, this is just a bunch of bitter oldbies complaining, and that's why, for the most part, I ignore it.

Kaji stays. I like her. I trust her. I value her advice and decisions. She has experience. Regardless of what she did in the past, Kaji stays. Deal with it.

You can't disregard people's pasts when you make a decision about them. Dogs learn through experience not to do something that hurts them. They don't disregard the past. It's basic. You learn from the past and from your mistakes.

As painful as this is to say I agree with Nab. If you want the community to trust someone that you do, reasoning would be nice. Just to say I trust her so she is now in a place of power where alot of people dont is something that is going to raise conflict in a community of what 30 consistant players. Especially if 27 of those players dont think shes fit to be an admin. Just trying to be the voice of reason here.

You are wrong. The first thing I said was "Still pretty funny", then I said to the other newbie that he was wrong about what he said. Then I told him to stop swearing. After this, I was typing out to tell Maya (other newbie) to steer clear of where we were because we were PvPing. This was all in about 5 seconds.

You have no right to have one of these unreasonable "tutor challenges" while I was super busy making sure the coast was clear to actually type out a long sentence. (note that the other sentences I typed were 3 or 4 words long, and the sentence I wanted to type to Maya was a lot longer)

In regards to the recent removal of Haze's guide status, I would like to state very clearly that this is not a personal matter. Haze was not answering any newbie questions while using nsay, and was, in fact, using nsay for a personal debate. As for if he would like to re-apply for his position as a guide after the guide test and guidelines are fixed, the administration would be more than happy to give him another chance to be a guide, IF he can pass the test. Until such a time as the new test, Haze will remain off the guide list.

To add onto Locke's post about Haze, I would like to add a few things. I was there when Locke was invisible which was just before the PvP started and he was looking around. The pvp started and after a short bit he came into town to reveal himself and joined in. ( I did not follow him around at this point.) After the battle was done some issues came up on Nsay and from the looks of it Haze was in a debate with someone and it appeared he was ignoring a newbie. There is nothing that I can post to show this OR disprove it. So after talking to Locke he agreed it wasn't personal and that Haze was removed on what was seen. Locke decided that Haze was free to retry for guide once the system was looked over and repaired by the admin team. Not only this but that any further cases will be looked and recorded.His case is going to remain closed and other guides should take note that they will be retested when the system is fixed.

Haze, I do hope that if you still wish to be a guide that you'll be watching for a post by the admin team in the near future.

Now onto the topic of this thread, (please, everyone return to it,) me having been given admin again. I have read the posts and for the moment am going to wait on posting a formal comment. I apologize for the delay but i feel it is a bit to soon to make a post with any meaning behind it. I would however like to ask the community to give me and the admin team a bit of time.

I typed like 3 lines of text that were maybe 3 words max each. There was no debate. Look at the logs. No, in fact, I'll give you a screenshot in case you are just so damn sure in your act in a second. There was no debate. I told him that he was wrong, and I asked him to stop swearing. It was then that I noticed a newbie asking a question. This was the first question I hadn't noticed immediately while being on as a guide that I wasn't prepared to answer (a lot of times I was on some guide happened to get in an answer in the nick of time, I guess that's a penalty against me though?) You are both lying. I expected that of Locke as he does it every day on the forums, but for Kaji to do it just shows how the future of the adminship is going to be. (ie. her basically being Locke's lackey, so to speak)

As you can see, there is no argument. I told him he was wrong, and asked him to stop swearing. There are so many arguments on why I shouldn't have had to answer that newbie's question immediately (I was busy so I could only type small sentences, I didn't notice it immediately since those 10 or so lines that happened between there probably took like 5 seconds, etc) This isn't about being guide, this is about you purposely finding a way to flex your admin arm muscles to try and anger me. I'm glad you are so mature to make personal admin decisions like this, it really does make me feel swell! :D

That newbie is clearly an instigator. It shouldn't need to be said even. The newbie should have been silenced for that attitude.

Good luck though, Haze. It took me 6 pages for Locke to admit he was making it personal. Let's see how long it takes him to admit it for you.
