Considering that IP adresses, keys, and whatever else you can track people with can be changed.. and that FFO players tend to care enough to do that ****... the best way would be to have a judging panel decide based on arguments presented ;).

I like Letha's idea.

I also like the idea of just deleting FFO entirely and using the server to beta-test for Terulia.

Bam, no more crying about how frost dragons are too strong, or how drops suck, or a thousand other pointless things that slow down Terulia because it forces Gaku to have to even read how angry people get over a free fangame when things don't go their way.

Instead, complaints would go towards the future instead of things that should NO LONGER BE TOUCHED. FFO can't get new players in any reasonable capacity. Word of mouth is not going to get many people when they have to jump through hoops over and over just to join the game.

Terulia would be able to be on the BYOND hub, even on Steam Greenlight. That's how you get more players to join up and keep a game from getting stale.

Let's exaggerate to the worst possible scenario that will most likely not happen instead of looking at an option for what it really is. Then, let's defend the point of view that easily allows people to rig the vote!
