Knights dont need a cure, if beefup was made defensive, think of the offensive power that had being turned into defensive power, physical damage will be a joke, and you can still stack elemental gear for wizards. At this point what do you need high damage for? you TANK AND OUTLAST YOUR OPPONENT as a means of victory, THIS is how knight is supposed to win, not "haha charge for 600"

As far as I know none of the ancients were killed. The big issue was the infinite spawns that would come rushing out of the "orb" (the portal to it). If we had THAT, oh geez.. high levels would be so easy to reach for sure, heh.

That was never meant to be a permanent thing though, and wasn't meant to be farmed just there for super high levels to attempt to kill

Sure I can kinda agree with you but, charge for 600? Really? If such a thing occurred, it was because of the PUG WEAPONS that broke the game, or a critical hit. With weapons I use as a knight, I can barely hit an icicle for 500 with a full screen charge using a grand LAVA mythlos. I had a capped knight, but I still couldn't get more than 300-400 damage on a full charge without one of those giant's blades or double bladed axes that shouldn't even exist.

Since we're changing a ton of other things too, why don't we at least see if that change is even necessary when the game has been up for a while?

Ancients:

They did give experience. The orb spawn spillage issue was fixed some time back, by the way. The imps and rats also gave really epic drops so no, lets not put those back in.

Cecil and Kain from FF4. Physical fighters that hit something like 800 a hit usually, and quickly too!

Also, option 1 please. Sure, this was on old experience rates, but the master in that screenshot was level... 49 at the time? He spent some time in frost dragon groups, and he spent a lot more time punching the **** out of ruins spawns and dark dragons. Sure, there were people on that hosting that were level 54-55, but they literally ground frost dragons ALL DAY LONG, and the only way they were able to do so was abusing money from Irendi Castle (as domains used to generate usable gold from NPC tax) and lots of abuse of duplicated items via an exploitable glitch (I found this out and hence stopped training with them).

Point being, even with the increased experience rates, you will NOT SEE any but 1 or 2 players at BEST that even go into the 50s level wise. The experience requirements are staggering. The guy that got to level 65 (Niv, hostings ago) was literally making a better profit off of say experience than he was slaying frost dragons, and say experience is gone now. I'm sure we'll see a couple people get into the 60s and above, buuuuuut, it'll take the game being up for quite awhile, and uhh, if gaku nerfcores the health and mana gains those people will be quite slayable by an enterprising 30-40s level player or three.

I cut my teeth on uncapped hostings, the majority of people are barely going to go over 45, and the ones that go above and beyond will be quite slayable regardless. The other fact of it is, you're going to get maximum playtime even for the biggest grindbots from the first option, and with the nerfs gaku is introducing you need not fear a couple of 60s level guys taking over everything ever (UNLESS THEY ARE LP AND IWAMORI IN WHICH CASE YOU BETTER LOOK OUT).

I already made the point that option 1 will have fair balancing, but my point was not so much how insane the experience requirements get but instead how bat**** insane the prof requirements will get before you can even level up again. It was not noticeable last hosting because leveling was a damned breeze but there is a formula requiring you to get so many profs before you can level up again and when people start hitting the 40s they're going to see bull**** like 80 profs to level up when most of their **** is already capped.

Even with the updates, knights would still outclass masters in offensive power, which they shouldn't.

OPTION 2, ITS LIKE, WHO PLAY MORE WINS.. everyone says: * i already capped everthing.. this sux.* i doubt it.. i never saw anyone capping BW's DW.
plus.. i never saw a BW using chucks, a rw using the Throw ( like javelins ), or ww using a 2h blade.

Also, I was throwing around things on my RW every now-and-then. It combo'd beautifully with my MW tics from afar.

I capped everything I needed to be capped. It would seem pointless for me to cap things I know I would never use or need capped.

The 'there won't be anything to do' argument is pretty flawed.

I've yet to see anyone cap all their profs, even last hosting and even if you get to a point where you feel you don't need to train your profs anymore there is always grinding for gold. Everyone can benefit from upgrades.

Also It'd be cool to see my previous suggestion put into play where bank interest increases the longer you own a domain and eventually caps. Domains should have some kind of tangible benefit or they're really not worth owning and maintaining.

Even with my 8+ capped spells, I still managed to find something to do on Relle almost all the time, be it get gold to buy other gear, mess around with MW, get gear for my fighter, etc.

EDIT: Also, weren't armies nerfed this hosting? Could that be fixed up so that domains aren't easy to blow up?

I would like option one. I missed out having no cap the first time being some random newbie (yeah yeah, I know I didn't miss much). Plus it sounds a little fun to have what seems like more freedom.... Kinda.
I'd also like to make a suggestion to make non-hostile spells show as blue (or any color that's not red) in the text log. It's a little annoying to see that Fog wears off when there's a bunch of red text surrounding it
