I've noticed that when your name pops up above your head (or someone elses for that matter) clicking it makes the click register on the player.

It gets annoying because sometimes it doesn't go away quick enough and my clicks on a monster registers as myself or party member which results in a lot of problems.

EDIT: okay really only one problem but it's a big one.

Nope. But it happens to me all the time. Even if the name does fade away quickly it's still possible to click the name as I roll the pointer over someone and it pops up on a monster above them.

I used to think I was misclicking, but then one day i think i did it to an invisible person who just went invisible, but i still thought it was a bug and it was a problem on my end.
Now that i see someone else has this problem, I'm beginning to get ideas...

Hey maybe you could make it not register directly to the player? or something?

Happens to me as well. Clicking party bars will also register on the player, this can be annoying when you're trying to get an item from under someone.

Why don't you all just turn Friendly Fire off if it's that much of a problem?

Probably because its not just things that would be stopped with turning friendly fire off, or because having friendly fire off is really useful in general and this could probably be easily changed.

Why don't you just think about things from someone's else's perspective before you post?

Gaku: good idea but not possible since this uses /image's (which you see but no one else sees), and images don't support mouse opacity.
Feel free to make a suggestion on BYOND forums.
