Disable flood controls when editing. | |||

It is ridiculously silly that I notice a single formatting error in my HTML after I post a message, and when I go in to add that small, insignificant little slash, I have to wait 30 seconds afterwards before it will post.
Not having a flood timer check on a post edit would be appreciated; if this is not an easy task due to the way you set up the forums (Jegus help you if this is the case) then I would like to push that a force-preview be added before the post is allowed through. _________________________________________ SMUG.MOMENTAI

If you force preview we're probably just going to learn to ignore it and then afterward notice any errors anyway. Can't you just reread your post in the textbox, or preview if you're using html?
Why change the whole system because you won't use the preview button that already exists? _________________________________________ Signatures are SO last decade.

He's probably right that this should be removed.
It will have to wait a little while though; my laptop's power adapter crapped out on me last night. I'm going to be transferring my BYOND data to a spare computer once I get one set up. _________________________________________ ScouSin: Damn you Gaku! The force preview idea was only if Gaku would be unable to disable flood control on edits due to how his code is. And really, if this were the case, then that needs to be modified but until then a force-preview would do the job. And let's be honest - how often do people use the preview button, really? Even before I knew my HTML I never used preview except for maybe one special case that I wanted to make absolute certain my post looked good and/or to reread it before posting. Which is rare. You have seen me type, I do not make errors often, so I put it in faith that my posts are usually presentable - then, every once in a while, a post slips by with some grammatical error that could be taken the wrong way, or an HTML issue because I forgot a single slash. _________________________________________ SMUG.MOMENTAI

I use preview every time I use html, but that's just me.

I use preview every time I post regardless. It's good practice.

Anyone who's anyone uses the Preview button.
Just code it so that anyone that clicks "Submit Reply" first gets banned to teach all these pro-skub users a lesson. _________________________________________ |

haha.
Fine, I'll use the Preview button more often. But there still shouldn't really be a flood control when editing a post. _________________________________________ SMUG.MOMENTAI
