If a player remakes their character but keeps the same name, All the players that previously had known the name retain knowledge of it.

Noly did it, and I still had her name when she remade toa different class, she didn't have to say it or introduce herself to me.

Names work as an ID which links to people's intro lists and the lists for bank accounts and engraved gear etc.

If you remake a character with the same name, either you should deal with the small inconvenience of people having that name, or you don't need the benefits of accessing the old bank accounts and engraved gear.

I don't see why you should be getting any benefits at all, considering you have just deleted your character, and made a new one.

Is it really intended to work that way?

Fixing this in FFO is not feasible. This isn't an issue in Terulia.
