Restore stamina to how it used to be.

Aries obviously didn't read the topic. His idea is useless because we want a way to make the game easier for newbies, and one of the main arguments for this idea is that its not that easy for an newbie to find wanderer/wayfarer, and they might not even know what it is.

Adding another suffix that helps with stamina is just going to confuse them more, not make the game more accessible. Stop thinking about what works for you, and think about what a newbie who doesn't know much about the game would know.

Exophus's idea is honestly probably the best one, even though wanderer will be far more common. I'd rather see everyone and their mother have wanderer than hear newbies complain about not being able to move on nsay and then watch them log off and never come back.

I think one wanderer piece would be plenty to get started.

I wish newbies would RTFM.

We should have more helpful NPCs in Terulia that explain everything since clicking on the FAQ button is too hard.

Maybe a longer tutorial or something? That could get annoying. Just have an option to skip it, might be good.

I forget what does 'RTFM' mean?

Also one wanderer would probably be good enough.

Yeah but nobody reads manuals. The best thing to do is probably an optional manual.

Theres also the fact that nsay and guides are kind of thrown at newbies as a way to make it easier for them, rather than digging through a manual, so they just come to rely on guides in general.

Meant to say optional tutorial...

I read manuals. It's good to know everything you can about the game.

I think its safe to say most people don't. You're not like most people on a lot of things.

People need to learn to read manuals, as a mandatory tutorial is annoying as hell.

Guides are helpful, if you know the right questions to ask.

I still think a good read through the FAQ is unmatched in helpfulness.

As rare as this is, I agree with Dean.

We help those who help themselves.

BUT, the point would be that while they may know what Wanderer and Wayfarer do, they don't know the VALUE of them just starting out. After all, looking at the FAQ the first time, some suffixes that don't seem all that awesome (Swiftness) can be highly sought after. I think newbies should start with a set of Wanderer GLOVES. Let's not give them two, make them work for it a little, but a little help to ease them into the game.
