Generaly as far as the names are concerned, I think anyone should be able to have whatever name they want, (cloud, sephiroth, naruto included). I never really understood the reasoning behind whey those names werent allowed beside the fact that they are famous.

The only king thing I'd dissaprove of are things like DaRkLiCh, or ghfglduishj, or like XxjennyxX.

As much as I'd like rp only names, it's unnecessary extra stuff to mod.

Even crappy screen name type names are okay as far as I'm concerned. I'll have just as much fun filching l337BoBBy420 as I do Kikuriku San!

I've seen it go either with with other games online.

Either they have good naming rules with rp only guidelines and they actually enforce them well, which is the opposite of what happens here, or they make it free for all with the exception of names with straight forward or masked vulgarity.

It's just that every time a name currently comes into question, there's always a debate about it. For example I seem to recall an incident involving someone named mule. At the very least the renamers should have a set rules that allows them to all reach the same decision, It looks stupid and unprofessional when they cant agree with one another.

We need to come up with some kind of a solution, don't you agree?

Throw the name rules out except for extreme cases. Let's be honest.

RP is not encouraged ANY other way in the game.

No one RPs any more right now anyways because they'd look stupid.

The rules cause more pain than happiness.

Let's try and refine them and bring them back for Terulia. Until then, let's all just have fun...
