I'm here to suggest a change in Terulia. The change is for additional character slots, or proficiencies saved for various jobs.

Now, I know for some reason, Gaku doesn't want multiple character slots for Terulia, and Dean explained so that it's so people don't make trash alts that they only play with here and there, and so people can't kingdom hop. Firstly, I don't see the issue with having a limited number of extra character slots, if people want to play a low leveled/proffed character once in a while, why shouldn't they? As for the kingdom hopping issue, you could convert that IP tracker thingie you use to tie IP addresses to kingdoms, couldn't you? The reason I suggest multiple character slots is so that people can try out different job combinations for some variety, without having to lose progress.

The alternative could be to have proficiencies, skills, and levels saved when you change jobs, an example being; I swapped hunter/rogue to be a warlock/priest. I'm now level 1. All my proficiencies (skill and equipment) within these classes has been set to whatever the starting proficiencies are. My hunter/rogue skills are gone. I play around with warlock/druid for a while, playing with lightning and what have you, the I go and switch back to Hunter/Rogue. Everything I learned on warlock/druid is now saved, but all my warlock/druid skills and profs are gone, having been replaced with hunter/rogue's saved skills, proficiency, and level.

P.S. Dean I know you're out there, don't call me a poopy-head.

I'd like the saved proficiencies idea. But if that's the case then the need for additional character slots would be nullified. I'm hoping the saved profs is put in though, because if I master a class and want to experiment with another, I'm not gonna wanna throw away all my hard work and grinding to see if another class is fun as well.

Personally I would say there would need to be a minor penalty to swapping classes around. Not the current penalty of "losing everything", but more along the lines of 10-15% of profs when you swap, in order to prevent people from just mastering as many classes as possible to make them completely unpredictable in PVP. It'd be quite annoying to expect Bob to be a mastered knight in battle, but when he comes to attack your kingdom, he's a mastered black mage, despite someone finding him as a knight earlier that day.

An alternative idea would be being able to freely swap a job out without any penalties, but it being doable only once a week. Swap out again and then the big penalties hit.

I'm all for seeing people being able to try out multiple things, but I can understand the entire 'swap only if you are SURE' aspect, so I figure the second idea would try and please both sides.

Saved proficiencies = people swapping jobs like underwear to suit whoever they're fighting and people who have the ability to pour copious amounts of time into learning as many jobs as possible as opposed to those who can't.

Single character allowance:

-Prevents spam testing of different job builds which cheapens the hard work of someone who took the time to figure things out with their single character.

-Prevents trash alts which can be used for different unwanted things such as spying without trying, griefing (which umbrellas a number of other things possible with bull****/trash alts such as stealing, killing, attempting to sabotage the voting system, etc.)

-Increases the chance of you having a unique character you can be proud of in both build and equipment and possibly appearance, depending which route the game takes in regard to player icons.

Can't think of any reasons to have multiple characters other than people being lazy. You can always change your job if you want to try something out. The power spectrum isn't as wide as it was in FFO so it's not as if you'll become a weakling for swapping out one or even both of your job slots at any given time.
