Okay, a very big issue was brought up on domain say. In the old days, the income/upkeep difference was placed into the treasury as excess funds. As it is currently, that doesn't exist, however if there is a negative difference (upkeep is higher than income), the balance is pulled from the treasury.


Now, the suggestion, one of two ways to go with it:

Either add the difference if it's positive to the treasury and keep the treasury sap from a negative difference; or remove the negative difference drain on the treasury.

As it is, there isn't a any reason to have an income of like 200,000 gold. If the difference is positive, add 1/10th of the positive balance to the treasury, so it will reduce the money whoring effect drastically compared to how it was in 3.5.

If domain issues are like this in Terulia as well, it would be wise to add this feature in Terulia.

I was under the impression that the way domains are now was to keep people from profiting from domain ownership.

The only alternative I see to pulling money from the treasury would be the citizens revolting and you losing ownership of the domain.

Domains cost money. Your income always going to be enough to keep everything paid. The past few hostings I've played, everyone always just made sure to keep enough to cover domain costs in their treasury at all times.

Safety net.

Covers domain upkeep and possible repairs/replacement units needed from attacks.

I could agree with a sort of credit system like that, where the excess funds are only used for domain purposes.
