Disenchant Lock

Disenchant lock is not working correctly/at all.

I've tested various profs of disenchant lock against a lock enchanted with a level 1 enchantment and it never works.

I've heard various other people have had this problem as well.

I believe Sinsie or someone had their disenchant around 30 and couldn't dispel a level 1 enchantment (if I heard correctly).

Either way, it didn't work when I tried.

Can anyone else attest to this?

Sinsie with a very high disenchant, I believe above 40, wasn't able to work on my enchant lock that I had at the time at like level 20. He used up a full thirst bar.

Sinsie also tried his 40 disenchant on Deylin's enchant lock a long time ago and went through the entire reservoir of his mana several times. And I don't think he got outlawed by it either for some reason...

I can say that it's completely useless as well, tried it earlier and I think the spell is simply not working. Period.

41 or 43 to be exact. The reason I never brought it to light is because of two reasons. One, I figured it was possible that the white wizard simply was smart and got a very high enchant lock, and two since I was trying to be sneaky about it before I didn't want people knowing I invested so much in Disenchant lock and therefore make them prepare more against it. I think Enigma supposedly used his to burglarize PC houses though, so I figured the other white wizards had really high enchant locks (unless he lied about it and they just broke the door).

I still believe disenchant lock should beat enchant lock at the same levels, being that disenchant lock has more risk obviously to it and a capped enchant lock renders disenchant literally useless, which isn't exactly fair for someone who would have to spend millions to get it that high, while the lock enchanter can always keep using theirs.

I think it's something like, Enchant Lock cannot be beaten period if Disenchant Lock isn't at least 5 or 6 profs higher, which honestly should be the other way around. Security measures can be made fairly strong, but if you make something literally and absolutely impenetrable, there's no more skill or game-play in that one area. It's a big FU to people who might wanna specialize in breaking and entering, only to be told "at a certain point you can't win ever so just resort to old-fashion warring". Which is exactly what we did after I found out Disenchant Lock just wasn't cutting it. :B

Edit: Almost forgot, make casting Disenchant Lock outlaw a person if in view of an NPC. At first I was given impunity in Leamaia long ago so I figured that's why I could get away with it, but at Giant's Helm where I didn't have it I realized it just doesn't trigger. Even though it isn't working (for now), fair is fair. :p
