The Guild

Objective

The objective of the Guild is threefold. First, the Guild will help supply and educate aspiring practitioners of the magical arts. Second, the guild seeks to understand the world around us and the magic therein. Third, the guild seeks to further settlement of the world and increase population.

Types of Assignments:

- Research and report on locations, creatures, or other things in the world, preferably magic related.
- Collect equipment to supply the guild.
- Recruit new members.
- Help build up a city.
- Move to and support a domain peacefully.

Example Assignments:

Short term:
- Collect a standard or higher quality muck skull for the guild.
- Prepare a report on the creatures inhabiting the surface around the Vorgardian Ruins
- Collect 20 stone for Giant’s Helm.

Long term:

- Move to and support the populace of Irendi through training, healing, knowledge, etc.
- Teach an apprentice the magical arts.
- Recruit a new member.

Organization:

(Highest to Lowest)
-Arch Mage>Council>Domain Stewards>General Membership

Guardian or Warden higher required for Domain Steward,

Master or higher for Council

Mage Ranks (Highest to Lowest)
Grand Wizard, Master, Expert, Guardian, Dedicated, Learner, Novice

Melee Ranks (Highest to Lowest)
Paladin, Templar, Knight, Warder, Agent, Disciple, Initiate

Advancement:

Novice -> Learner
- Complete any mission

Learner - > Dedicated
- Complete one short mission and one long mission, or
- Complete 3 short missions
- Either method requires a onetime guild due of 1000 gold.

Dedicated -> Guardian
Complete 2 of the following:
- Complete 3 long missions
- Write a research report
- Earn an independent reward*

Guardian -> Expert
- Demonstrate dedication and skill through support and actions for the guild. (Missions, duties, own initiative, etc.)

Expert -> Master
- Demonstrate steady activity over a long period, dedication, and knowledge

Master - > Grand Wizard
- Long term commitment and service to guild.


*System of rewards:

Establishes a system of rewards for various acts, such as dedication to the guild, going beyond the norm, winning events, or writing a certain number of articles, etc.
