Forum data is now "zipped" prior to transmission.
Most text-only pages are compressed by about 83%. You don't have to do anything special to unzip forum data; virtually all modern web browsers do this by default. Pros: less memory needed per page request shorter transmission times for page data less data transmitted (on the same data line as the FFO server) faster page load times Cons: uses more processing power Given the current traffic levels, the server has plenty of memory and processing power to spare and the downside is negligible. _________________________________________ ScouSin: Damn you Gaku!
