Group: Best Pony Posts: 893 Total: 1255	Here's a summary of the changes that were implemented last night: The old web server was replaced with one I picked up at last weekend's auction (and with a few modifications and parts from other auction computers). The old server was a Dell Optiplex GX240, 1.8GHz w/ 1GB PC133 RAM. The new web server (also the Terulia test server) is a dual core Tri-C, 2.8GHz w/ 2GB 400MHz DDR RAM. I gave it 2 40GB hard drives, a 7200 RPM drive to run Linux and the website, and a 40GB drive for the file upload/hosting system (for whenever it's updated). The forum's backup system capacity has increased in size by 400%. FFO's backup capacity has increased by 2000%; FFO backups are now made every 2 hours instead of every 12. Previously, a single APC 750 battery backup was running the forum server, the FFO server, the router, and the modem. Now, the FFO server and forum server each have a dedicated APC 750, and the modem and router have a dedicated APC 350. The total cost of these upgrades (including the additional APCs) was approximately $60. _________________________________________ ScouSin: Damn you Gaku!
