For a while, I've been noticing more and more names of newbies that aren't technically allowed. To my knowledge, only admins have Renamer status, and the only admins with Guide status (Jeebs and Shane) aren't on frequently. So, I propose that either a trustworthy guide be given Renamer status, or give Darlute guide status so that these names can be fixed.

By the way, he has guide status on his admin key. But his characters aren't usually on that for it to matter.

I don't know how admin status works, but if he cannot see the newbie names, he doesn't know if there are people running around with 'bad' names. Again, not sure if he can or cannot see the names without guide status.

I personally don't mind Renamer status. In fact, as long as it solves this situation of names quicker, I'm quite fine with it.

Shouldn't we also have some clear rules for naming that everyone can see.

I admit me and letha have been bickering over names for my characters. But I have been going along with it no problem.

We should get this cleared up before Terulia comes out. Otherwise people will get mad at renamers/admins that name change people when they saw nothing that said anything about rules on names.

NAMING GUIDELINES
RULE 1:
No names based off popular media, and references to such.


RULE 2:
No screen names, user names, and such that would not fit as a 'name'.

Letha u keep saying the name "Derpy Hooves" is an unacceptable name but what do other admins think? You said the name is unacceptable due to common sense because of the word "derp" in the name and someone could be offended by that. I hardly believe anyone could even be offended by a name like that.

It sounds like a personal bias too me.

I never said anyone would be offended by it. A name doesn't have to be offensive to be unacceptable. We had an hour long debate over why DERPY HOOVES is not allowed. Get over it. God damn.

Also, remaking with that name, instigating me on NSay, then attempting to troll NSay with the name DURP OR BUST (EDIT: and the name DOCTOR WHOOVES) does not help your cause at all.
