my walls were fine but as predicted this happened:

there was some items in the chests and some equipment as well in some of the other chests. The missing chests are spread throughout the domain (all outside the buildings on the "overworld" part)

please fix gaku this has plagued us for centuries now!!

also it's known to happen with ALL types of temples ;o
