Idk about a living, just had a few friends suggest I stream. Obviously before spectating mode but some people prefer potentially entertaining commentary over just game sounds I think.

That's something I don't really understand. Most people are incapable of creating worthwhile commentary other than guttural groans of frustration over teammates being shitty. I've only seen one particularly good streamer and that was Spellsy, and he's now like 2800 Elo or some shit idk.

I suggest looking up Scarra, Aphromoo, and TheOddOne. I heard Wingsofdeathx was pretty good as far as commentary goes, Phreak is fun to watch commentate if he's solo que. I don't know of any pro supports that stream with commentary, except maybe Chauster or Xspecial. I'm not sure 100% what kind of streams you've seen or what kinda commentary you're looking for. The first 3 I named are like super super good at their role and commentating what's going on.

I myself rarely stream so I'm a bit inexperienced at it, half the time I think I sound like I'm reading a teleprompter but as I get into the gaming session it kinda smooths itself out. That and I'm in a really low elo bracket for normals from a lot more losing than winning when I first started, it's kinda hard to commentate on people doing crazy noob things.

The last time I watched TheOddOne, which was months ago, most of his commentary was drunken banter as he sweeps the jungle, which I suppose I will admit was pretty amusing to watch in tandem with League. Scarra and Aphromoo never really impressed me too much. Xspecial had me laughing pretty hard when one time I caught him streaming him doing support AD Soraka for giggles, but other than that I don't know too much.

Ah okay. Well Scarra I know if pretty chill and explains most everything going on which I like cause he's a professional midder which is my favorite lane. OddOne half explains, half spits out random funny shit to me. Aphroo explains stuff once in a while but I usually watch him for the hilarious spaz outs.

I'm mainly asking cause if I get off of comcast internet I'll probably stream more regularly cause I do enjoy it.

Well, that's the difficult thing about the whole streaming process which makes it seem overplayed to me. You can't really match any particular style commentary too well when you're actually playing the game and attempting to do so in a professional way. Typically I really only prefer people who cast while spectating other games, because if the commentary is for informational purposes it's a lot less biased because you see what everyone sees rather than just one person sees.

But for extended periods of times I do prefer people who will explain things in great detail about a lot of things - Spellsy did that pretty well, and I know Scarra does it pretty well but he just never really hit home for me. But this is typically when I'm in the mood to try and learn about the process of high-level play and analyze it. For entertainment purposes, OddOne's drunk-ass retarded banter is far, far superior IMO. Dyrus was pretty cool too until he went all emo.
