Monster Classes
Monsters have been divided into several broad classes. Once you have determined the class in which a monster belongs, you can more easily decide what abilities to use against it. Elemental: These are monsters that assume the strengths and weaknesses of their respective elements. This only applies to the 6 'standard' elements. All monsters in this class have elemental physical and magical attacks (some with poison, too), are healed by their respective element, are weak vs another, are almost entirely immune to a third, and strong vs a fourth. These monsters are strong vs Dark and Light. If a monster does not obviously fit into one of the other categories, it is very likely elemental. Dark: These monsters are strong vs all of the standard elements. Dark magic cures them. They are weak vs Light magic. Cure has a light healing effect, and they're strong vs poison. Magic: This includes monster mages plus some other assorted monsters. They are slightly stronger than baseline vs all of the standard elements, but they'll usually take a lot less damage thanks to high general magic resistance. They are cured slightly by Dark magic, weaker than baseline vs Light, and Cure has less effect on them. Resistant: This includes mostly melee multitile monsters with lots of HP. They're 70% resistant to all standard elements, highly resistant to Dark and Light, slightly strong vs Poison, and Cure has less of an effect on them. Undead: Undead are similar to the Resistant class with some important exceptions. Fire and Lit are no longer as effective as they previously were, although fire is still the most effective of the standard elements vs undead (barely). Dark heals them somewhat; they're weak vs light (in between Elemental and Dark monsters). Poison has no effect, and they're only slightly weak vs Cure. So basically, undead are harder to kill with magic. Weak: This includes monsters that are generally weak vs magic, including many of the monsters around New Banian plus other similar monsters. The baseline is lowered for all resistances. They're slightly weaker vs Dark and Light than Elemental monsters. Poison and Cure are at baseline. Poisonous: Poisonous monsters have been interspersed within the classes. They assume the weaknesses and strengths of their respective classes. Monsters that are able to poison players are usually not poison elemental monsters. No alterations made other than an omission from the Undead category. I lack the mechanics so this is all yours Gaku. _________________________________________ Censorshit is a bitch.

Moon Phases
While playing FFO, you have most likely noticed that the game has a working time (day and night) system. Time in FFO goes by six times as fast as real-time. This means that when one minute goes by in reality, six minutes go by in the world of FFO. To see what time it is in-game, simply click on the "Time" button in the bottom-right corner of the HUD. It will bring up something along the lines of: The first line tells you what time it currently is in FFO; the second line shows, if it is dark enough, the current phase that the moon has entered. While it is possible that both moon phase and season have an effect on sunrise and sunset, the average times for each are 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, respectively. On a New Moon, there is almost no visibility of where you are going. Monsters are harder to vanquish, but they give better drops and experience. More risk, more reward. On a Full Moon, there is high visibility. However, monsters aren't much harder than they are in the day time and thus don't give as good of a drop or experience than they do on a New Moon. After a New Moon, the moon is 'waxing' which means it is getting fuller towards the Full Moon. After the Full Moon, it is 'waning' which means it is getting less full towards the New Moon. Note that monsters inside a building, cave or dungeon are never affected by darkness from the outside, and special bosses are never affected. Good luck travelers, and beware the dangers of the night! I'm not certain on the current time ratio. _________________________________________ Censorshit is a bitch.

Chests and Permachests
During your stay in FFO, you will often find large brown or grey boxes lying around, usually in the aftermath of a difficult battle. These are referred to simply as chests, and almost always contain more than one item, possibly gold as well. Left-click on any adjacent chest to collect all of the items simultaneously. If you do not wish to take all items, instead right-click on the chest: you will examine all of the chest's contents without removing anything. To remove individual items, select the icon for said item, which will take only that item from the chest. Gold can also be taken out separately by clicking on the blue hyperlink that reads how much gold is in the chest. Items in normal chests degrade over time. Thus, it is not wise to store items out in the open, especially where they can be stolen by any passerby. However, domains have access to a special building known as the PC House, which can store items indefinitely. In such rooms, chests will not degrade, and the items are as safe as possible. There is another type of chest that does not degrade in any condition, called a permanent chest, or permachest for short. Such chests will always exist in the same spot, and in fact generate gold and items. However, it can take a very long time for this generation to occur such that the items and/or gold are worth the trip. Initially, it takes quite a while (at least half an hour) before anything generates at all; the process is slow and it could be several hours before the value of the item has reached even 1000 gold. While all chests have a maximum value limit, it is much more likely for the value limit to be reached if you wait longer. Checking the chest at any time will automatically reset the generation; examining will not take the item/gold but will freeze the value increase anyway, so it is best to simply take what is inside. Adding items to these chests also causes a value freeze. Be wary of chests that appear spontaenously during battle, for they may contain a poison trap that deals damage relative to your max HP, or an undead monster hiding inside. Added note on grey chests and trapped chests _________________________________________ Censorshit is a bitch.

I already said I was going to repost it. What do you think I meant? Rewrite it from scratch?
