We should be able to toggle off skills that are overcapped so that using them doesn't take any allowance, and if we level up and they aren't capped anymore they toggle back on automatically. For example:

CURE: My cure is probably capped to 77, a lot of people like to not cure and use allowance as an excuse to suck ass as RWs and WWs.

If you can only toggle capped skills and they toggle back on if not recapped, I don't see how it's abusable.

I was actually thinking about suggesting that once a skill reaches the prof cap for your level, it no longer uses allowance, essentially removing overcapping. It kinda defeats the purpose of the allowance system in general if you can just level up, instantly get a ton of profs in literally one cast, and then just afk until the next PLC/WLC.

Makes training to your level cap less worthwhile though. For me it would actually make me idle more since before I kept my WLC lower so I could be proffed well.. and it worked now 1st in world etc.

It's not a bad idea but I think overproffing has uses especially for low levels who only have a few skills to use and are waiting on cap. I mean imagine if you couldn't gain allowance because you only have like 4 skills and they are capped so all your skill allowance gains are wasted. Sounds ****ty.

Some people already have skills like cure overcapped to 77 anyway.. so if you remove that then it's like **** you, you'll be weaker forever and see no gain from healing your party when nobody else would.

Then you train to prof them normally. Things don't need to be recapped with a single cast. It also prevents allowance from going into capped skills, which means you can be free to cast capped skills such as Cure to heal someone, and still have the allowance to prof something like Esuna or Disencumber effectively.

But if you did this and it erased all the current overcaps people who have spent the majority of their allowance this server curing such as Ners get ****ed over even worse.

It's not like they're literally losing existing profs on their character to begin with. Just go back to training the skill again; it's not even hard to get Cure profs.

Maybe. I still like over-proffing for certain skills.. but meh.

Example though my poison 2. Before I got poison 3 I made sure it was overcapped because it wasn't going to get much use after I got p3...

So it's still 62 or something even though I use p3 mostly now.
