As I slipped out the back door of the stone house my mother and I live in, the cold air nipped at me. I had a cloak on but it wasn't enough. But to me, bearing the cold was a minor pain for who I was going to meet.

I jogged into the jungle in my back yard. I had to hurry before anyone noticed I was gone. The person I was going to meet was from a rival family. Our family had feud for generations. No one even knew how it all started any more. Which is why I considered the love I share to be so true. How could it not be, after fighting through such a feud?

Luckily, the only thing separating our families was this monster infested jungle. But I had no fear, powered by my love. We had a meeting place in the middle of the jungle. It was an old monastery from years back to some unknown god.

Reaching the temple without a single monster was uncommon but not unlikely. Tonight was a lucky night. I was here first apparently, so I went inside what was left of the monastery and sat down on an old stone slab.

After a couple of minutes passed I began to humm a tune I was taught to pass the time. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped, hand going to my sword.

"Relax Cea, it's just me!"

I looked up and relaxed instantly, it was him. "Oh, Gakumerasara, you scared me."

He pulled me close to his large, muscular body and whispered in my ear, "don't worry, I will never let any harm befall you."

I giggled a little and pulled back, "your feather is tickling me!"

Gakumerasara chuckled at my adolescence and said, "well, let's just get this off then." He pulled off his feather band and dropped his red cloak to the ground. I dropped my red cape and we embraced once more.

"Gakumerasara, why must our families fight... We can never be together as long as they feud..."

Brushing my luscious brown hair back, he looked me in the eyes and said, "You're wrong Cea. We are together now. No matter what happens we will be together. No matter where it takes us..."

He laid me down on the stone table and took off his top... Overwhelmed by the emotion I simply laid back and sighed, "Oh Gakumerasara..." and let him take control...

The sun beat down on my face through the holes in the roof. I jumped awake, realize it was day time. If I didn't make it back soon...

"What's wrong, dear?"

"Gakumerasara, it's day time! If we don't get back to our houses, they will know!"

He got up and began dressing but he was still so calm. How did he always maintain composure... "We'll be fine, just hurry back and say you went for some morning monster hunting."

"Oh, I hope you're right! I will see you later!" I finished buckling my sword and quickly kissed him and headed back home. This time sprinting, hoping to get back before my family woke up.

As I came up to the house I slowed down to a brisk walk and walked into the door. In the kitchen stood my mother and abusive uncle. They were waiting for me... "Mommy..."

"How could you, Cea... With the Sara family..."

They knew! "Mother, it's not what you think... We are just friends. And why can't we be! You don't even know what the Sara family did to the Lor family so many generations ago! Why can't we be friends!"

My uncle slammed his hands on the kitchen table and shook his head, his hair falling in front of his face. "It's too late, Cea. The Sara family has been informed. Gakumerasara will be killed this afternoon."

"You can't do that!! I'll stop them!" I turned for the door but my uncle had his guards sneak up behind me and block me from the door!

"You are confined to this house until nightfall, CeaLor. Consider yourself lucky you won't be sharing the same fate..."

I stomped up to my room angrily and slammed my door shut. I fell face first into my bed, sobbing. There was nothing I could do. He had guards at every door and even in the yard. All I could do was wait until nightfall and sneak out. Hopefully he was bluffing...

Night finally fell and my Uncle's guards were released to go back to their middle class homes. My mom and abusive Uncle were both sleeping. Apparently not worried about me leaving at all. Was it really not a bluff... or did they think I bought the bluff.

Either way, I had to know the truth. I put on a cloak and dagger and slid out from my window. I began heading towards the Sara family cemetery. The way there was down a paved road. The road was empty tonight. No Lor guards nor Sara guards. The cemetery was the same. Surely they'd have guards posted...

I began searching the gravestones. All of them were quiet old. I was about to give up, happy to know Gakumerasara's was not here. But at that very moment the cloudy night sky let a ray of moonlight through. Near a tree to the far end stood a gravestone, tall and new...

Slowly, I inched towards it. My heart was beating so fast. This couldn't be. I've never been to the Sara cemetery so it could be anyone. Slowly, I cam around to the front of the gravestone and my heart sank. The gravestone read:
"Gakumerasara: Hardly worthy of the Sara name"

They really did it. I sank to my knees, sobbing uncontrollably. They killed him. My Gakumerasara... And then to top it off they belittled him. The only man who tried to change the family for the better...

I threw my arms out, screaming to the moon peaking out at me, "Noooooo! Whyyyyyyy!!!!"
I pulled my dagger out sinking with my forehead to the ground, clenching my dagger tightly. "Why, Gakumerasara... This is not fair. This is not right! I cannot live without you!!" I pulled myself up, gently pressing the tip of the dagger to my stomach.

"I cannot live without you... Gakumerasara. My only love." I thrust the dagger into my stomach. Pain erupted throughout my body and I fell to the ground. My hand rose to the gravestone. Trembling, I traced my fingers across his name and faded to nothingness....
