A few days ago, I was installing a BYOND beta version and lost my entire working folder.
This included about 2 weeks of work on Terulia and all work since October on everything else.

Luckily, Dean had an up-to-date version of the Dynamic Map Generator (map editor version with code).
This saved me from having to re-create the recent map generator updates.
In a weekend programming marathon, I re-coded almost everything else that was lost in Terulia.
(Many of the re-added features are now more efficient as well.)

things that haven't been re-created yet:
- lots of forum features
- a major Vengeance 56 update
- FFO updates since October

As a result, there won't be any more forum updates until the new key-based version is ready (will be a while).
There's no rush for Vengeance 56, so I won't be messing with it for now.

Terulia is almost back up to where it was before this past weekend.
Testing will likely begin the weekend after next.
(I'm going to be out of town this weekend, otherwise we could have it sooner.)

Since any additional work on FFO would require re-coding about 3 month's worth of intermittent updates, I'm considering the game finished.
No additional updates will be applied to FFO, and the current version will be hosted until Terulia is ready.

Will there still be regular reboots? To fix things like lag, bugged domains (void-trapped guards), and refill mountains for mining.

EDIT: Sweet, gonna re-implement an auto-reboot script or is the new BYOND too buggy?

Yes; of course.

God, that sucks man. Had a similar thing happen to my own project, and I didn't have a single backup. The same damn day I bought a USB memory stick as well.
